Robot Maintenance Technician – Intern/Part Time/Full Time

We are seeking an Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering based role and it could be an opportunity to join us. You should have the right technical curiosity and understanding to develop new approaches to big problems. Your work will require creativity, innovation, teamwork, and leadership.‍ It is also important for the role to be responsible in what you do, being a good listener and follow instructions. You should enjoy working as part of a team, providing support and help as needed. Finally, the essential part of this job is that you will be part of the biggest delivery robot infrastructure in the world, running every single delivery with zero emissions.
 

Applicants should be detail-oriented, organized, good communicators, able to think outside the box, and possess a great attitude. Most of the time, your job will be dealing with our friendly cute delivery robots, but we won’t limit your interests to play around with them! Just don’t hurt these little hard-working droids!

Key Responsibilities: 
As a Maintenance Technician a typical day might include the following:

  • Demonstrate the best attitude as a team member

  • Maintain the robots at EduCity site

  • Good communication skills

  • Reliable, high-speed internet connection (Remote mode only)

  • Have multitasking abilities

  • Deployment process

  • Fleet maintenance

  • Repair parts

  • Electronic device welding

  • Debugging parts

  • Document Known issues

  • Support the delivery robots’ tests

  • Being comfortable with addressing frequent product changes

  • Understanding limitations in our technology

  • Frequently coming across unknowns


Basic Requirements:

  • Legally eligible to work in Malaysia
    Hand soldering and rework experience is highly desirable

  • Proficient English level

  • Electronic testing skills

  • Understanding of EE test equipment and use and appropriate application. (Oscilloscopes, meters, data-loggers, power supplies, etc.)

  • Strong documentation and communication skills

  • Experience in debugging and resolving hardware and software issues

Recommended/Good to have:

  • Some electronics design experience preferred with ability to review and understand schematics and electronic board layout designs

  • Second language (we are a global startup that is not just limited in Malaysia!)

  • Experience starting or scaling a successful startup

  • Demonstrated interest in logistics, on-demand services, and marketplaces

  • Problem Solving attitude and experience

  • Collaborating with other engineers and professionals
